Shopping bags made of event towels

The fashion industry is usually not environmentally nor socially responsible. Check out for example The Ugly Truth Of Fast Fashion, Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj.
So here are the different ways to have a positive impact on the environment while shopping for clothes:
– Buy used clothes at Thrift stores!
– Do not buy something you will wear only one or twice. Rent it instead! Ask a friend!
– Exchange clothes you don’t wear any more organizing parties with friends. The leftover items are given to thrift stores or other non-profits.
– If you have to buy new clothes make sure it is from eco-friendly socially responsible makers/stores.
Creative Reuse is another process to reduce our textile waste. Old sarongs for example are perfect to make produce bags. Produce bags are precious as they easily fit in your purse and help to say no to plastic bags.
See below our creations from textiles salvaged on the island!
